Brian G. Bio.

I have been teaching English to speakers of other languages for 13.5 years now. My career in teaching began in 2006 in China after finishing my undergraduate bachelor of science in business management degree in the USA. Initially I began teaching English as a part-time job to make money, but I soon after decided to remain in the rewarding field of education rather than pursuing a business position.  
Most recently, having acquired my master’s degree at the University of Nottingham, UK in 2016, I have concentrated my efforts on online teaching to all ages of students from the USA, Russia, Europe, China, South America, Japan, and other geographic areas on various TESOL projects.
 
I have taught general English, business English, and test preparation English at universities and language centers around the world as well as online, encountering many materials, methods, curriculum designs, online teaching platforms, and teaching technologies.  
 
Currently I reside in Rhode Island, USA.  Rhode Island is a small state near Boston and New York.  Having travelled over about half of the world now, living in dozens of countries, I can say that one of my favorite hobbies is experiencing new cultures.  I also enjoy doing research on various topics on the internet, watching Netflix, reading, listening to and playing music, and hiking.  Perhaps surprisingly, I am also very interested in medicine, particularly neuroscience and biology, so I really enjoy teaching and learning about English for the medical field.  I look forward to our lessons together!  Let’s get started learning!
