My long held passion for literature has gradually transformed into a love for people and cross-cultural education that has taken me far from Chicago, where I grew up, to over thirty countries, including Japan, China, and South Korea. I teach university-level EFL and poetry or theory when I can. As a teacher I believe I can learn just as much from my students as I offer them, if not more. As a writer I hope I have years yet to travel and collect wisdom.
