Education & Previous Experience
I attended the University of Central Missouri from 2010-2012 and graduated with a four-year degree in Public Relations with a minor in International Studies.
 
I taught English informally from 2010 to 2011 for a small Chinese family in my college town. I taught their two boys, ages 4 and 6, privately in their home every other day until I was invited to travel to Shanghai to continue teaching for them.
 
While in Shanghai, I was asked by others in the local neighborhood if I would be willing to tutor their children, too. I happily continued to tutor the original 2 boys and 2 other students there.

I also traveled to Japan during 2011 to stay with a host family in Izumi City while I attended Momoyama Gakuin University. There, I took a 3-week accelerated course in Japanese language and culture after having taught myself for 3 years. I did not tutor anyone while I stayed in Japan.
